Oliver Glasner’s first full season at Crystal Palace will be in 2024–25, and expectations are high. Here’s how the team might look.

The Eagles are on a high, and with more work over the summer, they might finish in the European zone next season after finishing in 10th place this one.

Joachim Andersen is aiming for this nonetheless, as the legendary Dane recently said in an interview that he hopes to finish higher the next season.

Oliver Glasner’s first acquisition of the summer is expected to be Chadi Riad, who has already helped Crystal Palace get off to a quick start.

In the meantime, a number of other people have been connected to Palace, and there’s the requirement of seeing Michael Olise or Edgarechi Eze depart.

Taking everything into consideration, this is the lineup that Oliver Glasner might have in August if he makes a few additions.

How Oliver Glasner could line Crystal Palace up in 2024/25

After the incredible season finale we saw in just his first few months in charge, Palace and Glasner may have an explosive next season.
Dean Henderson will undoubtedly start as the first choice in goal because of how well he performed after Sam Johnstone’s injury. Henderson deserved to remain because he made some significant contributions during the team’s seven-game winning streak.

The addition of Riad from Betis marks a significant departure for the backline from the previous campaign. Left-footed, he will probably start on the left side of the back three with Chris Richards, Andersen, and the £9 million player, making up a formidable backline following Marc Guehi’s probable departure due to Manchester United connections.

Despite certain signings that can’t be discounted to offer depth, the wing-backs are still Daniel Munoz on the right and Tyrick Mitchell on the left, who both showed promise in the closing months of the season.

Adam Wharton slots in next to Cheick Doucoure in midfield as the two players recover from injuries that nearly ended the season, ideally following a strong Euro 2024 campaign.

Eze, who begins on the left, is the player we believe will stay, while Gabriel Sara, who is expected to cost £30 million, is brought in on the right to replace Olise, who is expected to leave.

The outstanding Jean-Philippe Mateta will be starting and hoping to show that his flawless form is more than just a purple patch.
