Portsmouth will consider a loan exit for defender Ryler Towler this summer, as detailed in a report by The News.
Portsmouth will let the centre-back head out the exit door on a temporary basis in the upcoming transfer window to help him get some more game time under his belt. However, they would like to bring in a player in his position first before allowing him to leave.
After coming up through Bristol City’s academy system and playing regularly for his hometown team at several young levels, he went on loan to get experience at Frome Town, Taunton Town, Grimsby Town, and AFC Wimbledon.
Towler also participated in five games for the senior Robins squad, but in 2023, Portsmouth made his first permanent move out of Ashton Gate.
Portsmouth’s summertime plans
As Portsmouth gets ready for Championship football, they have a busy few months ahead of them.
To be competitive in the division above, they will need to add a few fresh players.
Mousinho’s team will be optimistic about the upcoming season and hope to build on their success, just like Ipswich Town did.
Sean Raggett and Joe Rafferty were among the players they discharged, and they recently revealed their retained list. Towler might be among the other players leaving as they try to work out a loan exit.
