Football Insider has been informed by sources that Portsmouth is planning a summer transfer for Michael Craig, a midfielder for Reading.
Throughout his 36 appearances for the Royals in all competitions this season, the 21-year-old defensive midfielder has excelled.
Ahead of this summer’s transfer season, a number of clubs are pursuing the former Tottenham teenager, including League One champions Portsmouth.
Craig’s Reading, on the other hand, only won 16 of their 46 games, finishing in 17th position in League One.
Portsmouth wants to sign the former Tottenham player.
Midfield superstar Before moving to Reading in 2022, Craig was a young player for a few of years at Tottenham. The 21-year-old progressed through the younger levels in Scotland as well.
After winning League One with 97 points, Pompey will play in the Championship the following season.
With five loses and 13 draws in their 46 games, they finished five points clear of Derby County, who was in second place.
