The Mirror reports that Leander Dendoncker may be making a last-minute transfer out of Aston Villa on Friday. With eight arrivals and multiple exits during the hectic summer window, the Villans are anticipated to experience a largely quiet deadline day because to PSR restrictions.
However, a deal involving the former Belgium international Dendoncker leaving on a season-long loan could still happen because Unai Emery does not have ambitions for the defensive midfielder for the forthcoming campaign.
Dendoncker Could Leave Aston Villa
Dendoncker appears to be on the way out after Ross Barkley and Amadou Onana joined the midfield this summer to take the position of departing Douglas Luiz. The 29-year-old, who reportedly makes £90,000 a week at Villa Park and has two years left on his contract, has not been able to establish himself in the first squad since moving from Wolves for £13 million under Steven Gerrard.
The Mirror now claims that Dendoncker may be heading for a temporary departure, with Anderlecht, a Belgian club, being suggested as his most likely destination.
Diego Carlos Set to Stay at Aston Villa
Dendoncker may depart, but it appears that defender Diego Carlos will be the only big departure on deadline day. Earlier in the transfer window, Fulham had made approaches for the Brazilian defender; but, a deal could not be reached, therefore the Cottagers moved their target.
There were rumors that Crystal Palace was interested in moving as well, but they ended up signing Maxence Lacroix to replace Joachim Andersen, who went to Fulham, while Marc Guehi appears to be staying at Selhurst Park despite Newcastle United’s intense interest.
