BREAKING NEWS: Premier Sports announce broadcast bonus for Celtic fans

Celtic fans are in for a TV treat on Sunday, with Premier Sports announcing a double-header of live Hoops action.

Brendan Rodgers’ men will take on Falkirk in a Scottish League Cup quarter-final at 3pm, broadcast live by the competition’s sponsors. The match offers Celtic a chance to secure a semi-final spot at Hampden as they aim to reclaim the trophy after last season’s disappointment against Kilmarnock.

Following their midweek Champions League victory, there’s a buzz around the club, and fans are eager to see their team back in action, whether at the stadium or watching from home.

Adding to the excitement, Celtic FC Women will make history by playing their first-ever second-round Women’s Champions League tie against Ukrainian champions Vorskla Poltava. The match, kicking off at 12pm, will be broadcast live on Premier Sports 1, just before the men’s League Cup game.

Vorskla may lack extensive European experience, but the draw could have been tougher, with potential opponents like Benfica, Roma, and Slavia Prague. With both legs being played in Scotland, Celtic’s women’s side, led by Elena Sadiku, have a fantastic opportunity to advance to the group stage and compete against Europe’s elite.

Celtic FC Women captain Kelly Clark, inspired by the men’s team’s success, expressed her excitement: “Watching the guys in the Champions League makes you want to do it yourself. I know every fan craves it, but I’m lucky enough to be in a position where I can make it happen. This competition is a true reminder that we’re the champions of our league, and I’m determined to help guide the girls through the emotions to perform at our best.”
