WORRIES Speaking with club chairman Ron Martin during their most recent series of protests did little to ease the anxieties of Southend United supporters.
On Saturday morning, irate fans of the Shrimpers gathered outside Martin’s Benfleet residence, expressing their ongoing concerns for the team’s future. Furthermore, talking to Martin did not allay their worries.
The Southend Fan Protest Group representative stated: “I was worried before, and I’m worried now.”
“He promised to provide a solution for the winding up petition, so why hasn’t one been discovered yet?
Why does it always come up at the last minute? The winding up petition is the main worry, and he stated that he won’t be paying for it.
Due to the £500,000 winding up action filed by Stewarts Law and PG Site Services, Blues will return to the High Court on June 26.
