BREAKING NEWS: QPR decision over the 22-year-old after loan spell

QPR decision over the 22-year-old after loan spell

At the end of February, Rendall, 22, received permission to temporarily leave after Braintree Town approached him to request some playing time. As they were promoted from the National League South to the National League, he went on to make nine appearances.

According to the most recent information available, the R’s have let him go. This means that other teams will have the opportunity to sign the center-back for free this summer.

Rendall has progressed through the academy ranks at QPR and has been a member of the team during his entire career.

After a spell at Arsenal, he joined the Championship team at the age of 13, and in the intervening years, he has been a fixture for them at several different youth levels.

QPR, QPR decide to release 22-year-old after loan spell
He never played in a competitive match for the Hoops main team, despite becoming an important member of the Under-21 squad. Nonetheless, he did coach the senior squad and participate in a few friendlies.
In order to gain experience, he spent time on loan at non-league teams including Gloucester City, Eastbourne Borough, and Eastleigh in addition to his stint with Braintree Town.

Now that the door is opened, he can be signed by other teams for nothing in the coming months.

Not only is he going to be departing QPR, but they have also revealed that Rafferty Pedder, Nathan Jeche, Micah Anthony, Joseph Ajose, Harry Cant, Arkell Jude-Boyd, Deon Woodman, Samuel Sackey, and Hamzad Kargbo are also moving on.

According to Christian Nourry, CEO of the R’s, actions of this kind are difficult, particularly when there are several players who have been with the team for a long time.

But it’s critical that these choices are made in order to best serve the interests of both the team and the players who are leaving, giving them the best opportunity to succeed in other endeavours.

“We wish them all the best of luck in the future and on behalf of QPR, I would like to sincerely thank them all for their efforts while they were with us.”

What happens to QPR next?

Although QPR was able to stay in the second tier during the previous season, they were too near to the drop zone and will want to avoid a repeat of that this year.

Since replacing Gareth Ainsworth, Marti Cifuentes has done an excellent job leading the team and restoring its positive vibe as they get ready for the summer.
