Three-time League One champion Max Power has become a free agent following his departure from Al Qadsiah. Power had two successful periods at the newly renamed The Brick Community Stadium, where he won titles in the 2015-16, 2017-18, and 2021-22 seasons, making over 200 appearances and scoring 17 goals for Latics.
A Birkenhead native, Power began his senior career with Tranmere in August 2011. Last season, he helped Al Qadsiah secure the second-tier title in Saudi Arabia, aiding the club’s return to the Pro League after a three-season spell in the First Division.
After making over 100 appearances in the Football League with Sunderland, Max Power is poised to return to England following his departure from Al Qadsiah. The 31-year-old took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude: “I want to wish everyone at Al Qadsiah the very best. My family and I have cherished our time here in Khobar. We will always be supporters of the club and I’m proud to have contributed to their return to the Pro League.”
