Tom Dallison was released by Colchester United last week
Tom Dallison has been released from Colchester United and is embarking on a new challenge.
After being let go by Colchester United, Tom Dallison expressed his gratitude to the team’s supporters.
Four first-team players, including the 28-year-old, left the U.S. after learning their contracts would not be extended.
Dallison joined Colchester in January 2022 from Crawley Town, and he played 65 league and cup games for them.
The well-liked centre back says he has discovered a lot about himself during his time with the U’s, but he is now looking forward to a new challenge after leaving the JobServe Community Stadium.
Using social media, Dallison wrote: “The past three years have been an emotional rollercoaster!”
I made lifelong connections and encountered incredible folks at the club.
During this time, I discovered a lot about myself and became adept at adjusting to many novel circumstances.
“My only wish is that we could have achieved success with this group, but I’m confident the club will soon reach that milestone.”
“Thank you to all of the fans; you have been amazing to me from the beginning!”
It’s time for me to start a new chapter in my profession, which I am eager to do.
I want to thank @colu_official for everything and wish you all the best.

Colchester released four senior players, including Dallison, after revealing their retained list.
After their current contracts expired, John Akinde, Sam Hornby, and Marley Marshall Miranda were also informed that their contracts would not be renewed.
After several years of struggle at the JobServe Community Stadium, Colchester head coach Danny Cowley has got to work in his attempt to put together a team capable of challenging at the right end of League Two next season.
The U’s are anticipating a lot of change this summer as they try to add new players to their revamped roster.
