Aston Villa reportedly has Nicolas Jackson, a striker for Chelsea, on their list of possible targets as they try to recruit a striker before the deadline. The Blues hope to get a new striker before the transfer deadline, but Aston Villa may end up acquiring their own forward in the process. The forward is from Senegal.
Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen, and Jaden Philogene are among the players who have joined Aston Villa, while Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby have been permitted to depart for large payments during the transfer window. Aston Villa is reportedly “open to the idea of taking a new striker in the final days of the transfer window,” with Jackson of Chelsea “among the preferred names” on their list, according to Caught Offside. Villa “seem to have been following him for more than a year.” additionally, the report states:
” Evaluations are currently underway to understand whether there’s room for concrete negotiations to take place, and a move for the Blues striker achievable, before the window slams shut for another few months.’
Roma’s Tammy Abraham and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin are also mentioned in the Caught Offside story, while Barcelona’s Raphinha is mooted as a potential late winger target.
Given that Chelsea is apparently interested in signing Jhon Duran, it is possible that Aston Villa will pursue a potential trade for Jackson. As Chelsea looks at alternatives to Victor Osimhen, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has insisted that Duran is a possible departing that we should “keep an eye on.” “Osimhen wants a permanent deal, but Chelsea’s interest in him has always been on a loan,” Romano stated on his Playback channel. I would also continue to monitor Jhon Duran.
In his Caught Offside column earlier on Wednesday, Romano provided an update regarding the future of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, saying, “I wanted to clarify the situation with Victor Osimhen as it’s another important story for the final days of the window.” “Paris Saint-Germain has been brought up by several, but from what I understand, Osimhen and PSG last communicated to each other during the latter week of July. Neither Osimhen nor any of his representatives spoke to PSG at that time.
Thus, as of right now, PSG is not working on the Osimhen deal. If that changes, I will keep you informed, but as of right now, it is not happening at all. But I can assure you that the Osimhen deal is still being worked on by Chelsea and Al Ahli. Al Ahli already have a €65 million deal with Napoli, so that’s good, but the deal between Osimhen and the Saudi team is still absent. However, I can assure you that Al Ahli is still making efforts to persuade Osimhen and come to a mutually beneficial deal with him. However, Chelsea is still in the running, and if neither of these teams signs Osimhen, Ivan Toney may be a possibility.
Ivan Toney is therefore someone to keep an eye on in the closing stages. It’s critical to keep in mind that Brentford continues to want significant funding. They recently turned down a bid of between £37 million to £38 million from Al-Ahli, although talks are still ongoing with the team. Watch what transpires there and with the other English clubs. Another Chelsea rumor that has been circulating is that Axel Disasi’s future may be in jeopardy and that Newcastle is one of the names connected. I do not currently have any specific updates, though; it appears to be a calm issue. I don’t have any new information about Disasi yet, but we’ll see what happens with Newcastle and Marc Guehi.
