Connor Riley-loweThis link will undoubtedly enrage our regular website visitors from over the Tamar who have had trouble believing that Torquay United would be considered a step up from Truro City—Wottin’s captain at Truro. Given that Connor is from a family of Torquay supporters and lives in Paignton, he would undoubtedly welcome the opportunity to visit Plainmoor. Riley-Lowe is a versatile back lineman who can play wherever on the pitch. Despite the fact that he is under contract with Truro, his versatility may make it necessary to pay Truro a small price.
RILEY-LOWE STATS: BIRTHPLACE: PAIGNTON BEN SEYMOUR, DATE OF BIRTH: 10/01/96, POSITION: DEFENDER
Seymour, who first came to Plainmoor through Exeter City’s junior programme, is another potential arrival. He had a respectable season at Hampton & Richmond the previous year, netting 15 goals and dishing out 7 assists, after netting 20 goals at Plymouth Parkway the year before. Given that he hasn’t signed a new contract and that his former youth coach Mel Gwinnett departed Hampton, a multi-year agreement might hold down the striker, who is only 25 years old and may still have his best years ahead of him.
SEYMOUR STATS: BIRTHPLACE: WATFORD AHKEEM ROSE, DATE OF BIRTH: 16/04/99, POSITION: STRIKER
Rose, who was a member of the potent Weymouth striking duo with Brad Ash the previous season, had an injury-plagued season and was loaned to Hamilton. As a result, his transfer to Scottish League One side Ayr United didn’t proceed as planned. Despite this, he still managed to return with 13 goals, and given that he assisted Ash to 15 goals the previous season, that might be enough to lure the Jamaican forward to the Bay. Rose can play both up front and off the left flank, which adds to his versatility.
ROSE STATS: BIRTHPLACE: Jamaica; DATE OF BIRTH: November 27, 1998; POSITION: WINGER/STRIKER

CALEB ROBERTS
The 18-year-old Argyle kid, who is well-liked by the Green Army, signed professional terms at Home Park last summer. In the FA Cup, he made his debut for the team in January against Leeds, playing central midfield with Adam Randell, a previous Gulls loanee. At his age, he needs consistent playing time, and Wotton’s connections to Argyle may mean that he is trusted to support his growth while on loan for the entire season.
ROBERTS STATS: IVYBRIDGE PEDRO BORGES; DATE OF BIRTH: 24/10/05; POSITION: MIDFIELDER;
The clever winger from Exeter will be seeking to expand on his loans at Dorchester and Gosport from the previous season; a long-term loan in the NLS is the next natural step. The young Portuguese player is well-liked at Exeter after providing a “stunning assist” with a beautiful chipped through ball for Exeter’s season-opening goal against Port Vale last year. For all sides, a six-month financing arrangement would make sense.
