Wakefield Trinity are reportedly targeting London Broncos fullback Josh Rourke as they finalize their squad for the 2025 season. The Championship leaders have identified the 24-year-old as a key transfer target, aiming to add depth and competition for Max Jowitt at fullback.
Rourke has had an impressive debut Super League season with the Broncos, scoring five tries in just six games after overcoming a pre-season leg injury. His performances have drawn significant attention, making Wakefield strong favorites to secure his signature for the next season.
Rourke began his career with Salford, making his Super League debut in 2022, before moving to Whitehaven where he scored 11 tries in 28 games. He then joined Batley Bulldogs before making the switch to London Broncos following their promotion to the Super League.
This potential transfer would be a setback for the Broncos, who are also set to lose playmaker Oli Leyland to Warrington and Bill Leyland to Hull KR next year.
Wakefield, expected to return to the Super League next season, have already made notable signings, including Mike McMeeken and Tom Johnstone from Catalans Dragons.
