Barcelona is apparently considering permanently releasing Ansu Fati.
The teenage striker, who was anticipated to become one of Barcelona’s top forwards when he was promoted to the senior first squad in 2020, has struggled to live up to expectations.Fati, 21, joined forces with Roberto De Zerbi last summer after falling out of favour and was forced to accept a loan transfer to Brighton and Hove Albion in order to gain more regular minutes.
Despite an injury-plagued season, the 21-year-old has performed admirably when he has been able to play. With four goals and one assist in his first 24 appearances across all competitions, the young Spaniard appears to have proven himself capable of functioning in the typically fast-paced and physical Premier League.
