O’Neil offers a crucial Neto injury report as key stars near their return ahead of Manchester City against Wolves.
Gary O’Neil has provided an update on the injury situation ahead of Manchester City’s match against Wolves, with Pedro Neto on the verge of returning.
Injuries have been the Wolves’ Achilles heel in 2024. The Wolves’ first team has been reduced to its bare bones, with several players on the sidelines.
Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-Chan, who had been missing for months, have returned to the Molineux pitch.
However, other stars have remained on the sidelines. As a result, Wolves’ young players have been given more playing time to increase their numbers.
O’Neil has revealed that several first-team players may return for a crucial match against Manchester City.
Pedro Neto – injury update
The Frenchman was injured alongside Neto in the 2-1 victory over Fulham in March. Since then, the midfielder has been unable to return to the pitch as he recovers from a knee issue.
However, alongside Neto, Bellegarde is now expected to make his return to the pitch soon.
O’Neil confirmed that he had returned to first-team training and is in contention to face Man City on the weekend.
Expected return: Man City (May 4)
