Brendan Rodgers has been snubbed by the SPFL for their August Manager of the Month award.
Celtic, under the management of Brendan Rodgers, have made an impressive start to the season, winning all five of their league matches and not conceding any goals. The team is playing attractive football, and the tactical advancements from last season are evident.
Despite this strong performance, Rodgers did not receive the August Manager of the Month award. Instead, Jimmy Thelin of Aberdeen was honored for his remarkable start to the campaign. The Swedish manager has led Aberdeen to ten consecutive victories, including the league cup group stages, and has yet to lose a game.
While Thelin’s achievement is well-deserved, Rodgers might feel somewhat unlucky not to have been recognized given Celtic’s flawless start. The Hoops will aim to continue their perfect record when they face Hearts at Celtic Park this Saturday.
