Bye bye: Rangers now plan to accept bids for £18,000-a-week ace after confusion in recent days

Rangers aim to welcome permanent bids for a “superb” £18,000-per-week player who has struggled to make an impact at Ibrox, according to a recent transfer report.

The Gers are considering adding new players at the conclusion of the season, including Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie. In reality, the Englishman has expressed his desire to move to Ibrox, citing his passion for the club since childhood.

“Growing up, I was always a big Rangers fan and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. It’s all about timing. I aim to play for Rangers at the end of my career. I hope I get to experience that side of things. If not, I don’t. But I hope that by the end of my career, I will be able to say that I have played in an Old Firm.

Fabio Silva performed poorly in Rangers’ 3-3 draw at Celtic on Sunday, despite winning a penalty that James Tavernier converted. However, his loan move from Wolves could become permanent in the summer window.

Rumors persist that the Scottish Premiership club is interested in signing Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland. Former Celtic attacker Frank McAvennie has expressed concern about Shankland’s potential move to Ibrox.”I think it’ll be an interesting one if he goes to Ibrox – it’s a real step in the right direction and something Celtic will have to be aware of – they’ll be worried.”

Rangers will welcome bids for “superb” players.

According to Football Insider, Rangers are open to accepting offers for Sam Lammers this summer, as the £18,000-per-week attacker is considered surplus to requirements.

According to a recent report, the player admits he is unsure about his future with the Gers. He joined Dutch side Utrecht during the January transfer window after being limited to 10 league starts and not being seen as a key player by Philippe Clement.

Heerenveen manager Kees van Wonderen has praised his “superb work ethic” in the past, thus it makes sense to entertain bids for him in the coming months.

Rangers’ record of only two goals and two assists in 31 appearances is inadequate for an attacker. While he is performing well in the Netherlands, having scored seven goals in 13 matches for Utrecht since January, the Scottish club should consider alternative options.

Rangers have some bright youth developing from their academy.

Whether they sign Silva or Abdalla Sima permanently remains to be seen, but Shankland appears to be the strongest choice, since he has 20 Scottish Premiership goals in 2023/24 – more than anyone else.
