BYE BYE-Wolves plan to let go of a player for whom they had very high expectations.

They are set to cash in while he still has a year remaining on his deal.

A recent update regarding the future of a young player with just one year left on his contract indicates that Wolves are planning to sell him.

Overall, Gary O’Neil and his club have had a successful season, establishing themselves as a strong mid-table Premier League team and achieving several fantastic victories, most notably defeating champion Manchester City at home. Wolves will ideally add more quality and depth to their roster this summer with the arrival of new signings. Several players have been linked to transfers to Molineux in the upcoming months.

According to reports, Wanderers have asked if Chelsea striker Armando Broja, who is presently on loan at Fulham, is available. Despite making seven Premier League appearances at Craven Cottage, he has only played for sixty minutes, indicating a severe lack of playing time.

The winger Justin Njinmah of Werder Bremen, who has scored six goals in ten Bundesliga starts this season, has also been linked to a move to Wolves. Njinmah is seen as a “interesting” talent.Another aim is the bright Osayi-Samuel, who plays right back for Fenerbahce and has “blistering pace”.

Additionally, Wolves will be fighting to retain onto certain players, not the least of which is important center-back Max Kilman, who Manchester United is expected to pursue.

This summer, Wolves intend to sell their youthful captain.

Mason Rees is a young player that the Wolves are happy to let go this summer, according to Wayne Veysey of Football Insider. They no longer see a future for him with the team.

The 18-year-old’s contract at Molineux expires in one year, but despite being “viewed by Wolves chiefs as a promising talent” at first, he doesn’t seem to have progressed as much as he should have.

A young player failing to measure up at a club is always unfortunate because homegrown talent is so valuable. This is also the case with Rees.

Last year, when he inked a new contract, Jon Hunter-Barratt, the football academy manager, praised his leadership abilities.“He’s had a really good pre-season and is a really keen worker who is happy to do the work without the ball for the team.

“It’s a nice moment for him and his family to be rewarded with a professional contract. He is the type of character who likes to lead by example whilst he’s on the pitch. You can see that with the way he plays and he doesn’t leave anything behind.”

Football is a ruthless business, however, and if Wolves feel that now is the right time to cash in on Rees before losing him on a free transfer next summer, it is the right decision.
