Castleford Tigers set to announce “a few more” deals as Craig Lingard gives update on Tex Hoy future

THE CASTLEFORD TIGERS are about to reveal “a few more” signings while head coach Craig Lingard provides an update on Tex Hoy’s future.

A plethora of new additions have been unveiled by the West Yorkshire club, including teenagers Jason Qareqare, George Hill, and Cain Robb, as well as Louis and Innes Senior.

According to Lingard, more details will be disclosed: “There are still a few to announce, but we have spoken with and got over the line with the majority of those coming off contract.”

“There will be a few more announcements, and conversations will keep happening as they always do.”

Regarding Hoy’s future, Lingard has revealed that talks have taken place, but any possible deal must benefit both sides. Hoy joined the Tigers last month following his departure from Hull FC.

We are currently in talks with Tex Hoy, and while we think he has the capacity to stay, the financial package and contract length must align with our preferences.

“The club is working to negotiate the greatest possible agreement for the club, but we also need to make sure that it benefits both of us. Tex is loving life down here, and we truly want him to stay.
