Celtic has announced that Martin O’Neill will be attending the upcoming Celtic Player of the Year Awards.
During his time there, O’Neill led the team to several domestic championships and a spot in the UEFA Cup Final. On Sunday, May 12, a gala event is planned. O’Neill will be giving out an award.
The event is scheduled to take place just one day following a Glasgow Derby that might decide the outcome and determine Celtic’s Premiership lead, should they defeat Rangers. But the team has big games against Dundee and Hearts before the derby.
O’Neill will present alongside a stellar group of former Celtic greats that include Charlie Mulgrew, Stan Petrov, Aiden McGeady, Ronny Deila, Chris Sutton, and John Hartson. With Des Clarke and Sebahn performing, it promises to be an unforgettable evening honoring the best performances of the season.
