Celtic’s financial outlook is set to strengthen further due to their participation in the Champions League, according to finance expert Stefan Borson. In the 2023-24 accounts, Celtic reported record-breaking revenues of £124.6 million, a 3.9% increase from the previous year. This success is attributed to the club’s performance on the pitch, including their Scottish Premiership title, Scottish Cup win, and Champions League qualification, which has helped them post a profit for the third consecutive year.
Borson highlighted that Celtic’s involvement in European football’s elite competition makes them “largely unique” within Scotland, providing a major financial boost. With a strong start to the current season, including victories in all five Scottish Premiership games and a 5-1 Champions League win against Slovan Bratislava, the club is expected to see their revenue grow even more.
These developments signal a continued upward trajectory for Celtic, reinforcing their dominance in Scottish football both on and off the pitch.
