Chris Davies has sent a strong message to Birmingham City players before transfer action

Chris Davies is preparing to welcome Birmingham City’s players back for pre-season on July

New Birmingham City manager Chris Davies

Chris Davies intends to use the first two weeks of preseason to get to know his Birmingham City players. By the time Blues’ training camp in Austria ends on July 14, Davies will be aware of who is in and who is out.

Just two of the new Blues management have been introduced in person: Dion Sanderson and Kyle Bielik. The others will be met on July 1 at the training facility. On the first day, all players are expected to report, with the exception of those who have participated in international matches.

Davies intends to start over for each of them after finishing his homework on them. But he’s prepared to test their football prowess and moral character the next month.

It won’t take him long, he predicted. “We have one week here at the training ground, followed by a week-long trip to Austria.” I’ll have a great understanding of the players’ skill levels by the end of the trip to Austria, and our training sessions will be tailored to help you get to know them personally and observe how they handle a variety of situations.

“Upon our return from Austria, I will have a clear understanding of what we already have in the building, which will help us identify additional players to strengthen our squad.”

Davies has acknowledged that he intends to speak with the international players for the Blues in an effort to persuade them to play in League One. The team intends to retain Bielik, and talks are also being held with Paik Seung-ho and Koji Miyoshi.

Jordan James, a Wales international, doesn’t seem to have much chance of staying. After having several bids for James rejected in January, Atalanta, an Italian team, is anticipated to submit another proposal.
