Hull City defender Jacob Greavs is reportedly a target for Everton, West Ham, and Ipswich Town. Greaves has been given the green light to leave Hull City by the club’s owner. He is a key transfer target for Everton this summer, and their interest could intensify if Jarrad Branthwaite is sold, though Manchester United has yet to meet Everton’s valuation for Branthwaite.
Greaves, who has made 177 appearances for Hull and was named in the Championship Team of the Season for 2023-24, played a significant role in helping the Tigers finish seventh, narrowly missing out on the play-offs by three points.
The 23-year-old has attracted significant interest from Premier League clubs, including West Ham and newly-promoted Ipswich Town. Hull’s owner, Acun Ilicali, has admitted that Greaves, who has two years remaining on his contract, can leave if he wishes.
Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, Ilicali said, “I think serious offers will come in the next two to three weeks. If you ask me, I will never sell them. The only reason I will sell them is if they come to me and say they want to go. I advised Keane Lewis-Potter not to go, and if he had stayed, it would have been good for both of us. Again, for these boys (Greaves and Jacob Philogene), if they feel they will be successful elsewhere, their future is more important than my benefits. Greaves wants to play in the Premier League. He’s such a nice boy and a real captain. If his heart and mind are set on another club, we will not stop him.”
