Reading FC Women are thrilled to announce their first two signings of the season, welcoming Danielle Puddefoot and Jordanne Hoesli-Atkins to the Royals.
After Pedro’s appointment as the new Manager, he has already started building his squad in preparation for the upcoming season, which kicks off on Sunday, 8th September, with an away match at Sholing.
With more signings set to be revealed next week, we’re excited to introduce Danielle and Jordanne as the first new additions to the team.
Danielle Puddefoot is our first player of a new look Royals team, who is someone who knows what it means to represent the blue and white hoops of Reading.
Danielle will be at the very heart of the team, not only in her position as a central midfielder, but also having lined up alongside Kelly Cousins (was Chambers) and Fran Kirby, and has now returned home.
With vast experience playing in the Championship, Tier 3 and Tier 4, representing the likes of Stoke City and London Bees, it is without doubt Danielle will be a reliable figure in Pedro’s team, and we’re delighted to welcome her back.
On the signing, Pedro Bruno shared “Danielle brings a wealth of experience from top-tier competitions, combining technical finesse with outstanding physicality. Her presence on the field is sure to provide a crucial edge in the final third, making her a game-changer in any match.”
Our second new signing is Jordanne Hoesli-Atkins, who joins us from Tier 4 side Ashford Town.
Like Danielle, Jordanne brings a wealth of experience from the upper levels of women’s football. Last season, she made 17 appearances, with 12 starts, for Ashford Town, playing a key role in helping them secure a fourth-place finish in the FA National League Division One South East.
In addition to her experience, Jordanne offers versatility on the pitch, with the ability to play in multiple positions. Her strong presence and leadership qualities will undoubtedly be valuable assets throughout the campaign.
Pedro expressed his satisfaction with the signing, stating, “Jordanne’s experience in top-tier competitions, combined with her technical skills and physicality, makes her an invaluable addition. Her leadership, both on and off the field, and her ability to mentor younger players, will significantly contribute to our team’s development.”
