With his current contract about to expire at the end of the current campaign, Seamus Coleman has indicated that he is contemplating signing another agreement with Everton.
The Toffees full-back acknowledged that things have been “tough” at Goodison Park lately, but he is happy that the club has extended an offer to him since he knows it is “hard to walk away from something you love.”
The 35-year-old Republic of Ireland international Coleman endured more setbacks this season after signing a 12-month contract a year prior while recuperating from a major injury.
On May 13, the captain stated to EvertonTV, “The club means everything to me.” I guess I’m just one of us; I live and breathe it. The past two or three years have been an incredible journey, and you can’t just show up for work, go home, and forget about it.
It’s difficult because you have to live and breathe it. However, I adore this stadium and this football team. We still have one year left at Goodison, so I’m grateful for the offer and will give it some thought.
“It is difficult to leave something you love, as I mentioned when I signed my last contract, and this football club means everything to me.”

Although Kevin Thelwell has already acknowledged that deals would need to be made this summer during the transfer window, it appears that Coleman won’t be leaving.
Even though it appears that the 777 Partners’ effort to buy the team from Farhad Moshiri has come to an end, there are still a lot of financial obstacles to be solved at Goodison.
Coleman is still a fan favourite and a crucial veteran presence in addition to being a helpful contributor on the pitch, even though he may not be the Premier League standout he once was.
Although he hasn’t committed to staying yet, he doesn’t seem like someone who is going to turn down the club’s invitation to stay.
Several targets have already been revealed, suggesting that Dyche is looking to bolster his right-back position in the transfer market.
It appears that the manager wants the club captain to stay for a 16th season, but big-name sales will probably determine if he and Thelwell can pay a fee to bring in a new player or if a free transfer pick-up is required.
