Connor Roberts sends Leeds player new message after latest contract

Connor Roberts sends message to Leeds United fans on Tuesday as he returns to Burnley

Ex-loanee Connor Roberts congratulated Leeds United star Sam Byram on his contract extension on Instagram.

Byram shared a snapshot of himself on Instagram, catching West Brom defender Darnell Furlong with an errant elbow, activating a one-year contract extension provision.

As a fan of Byram sharing that specific photo, Roberts, who spent February until the end of the season on loan at Elland Road, congratulated him on the announcement of his contract extension.

He wrote, “Congrats Samuel sir, the third photo is a joy.”

Is Connor Roberts going to return to Leeds United?

Leeds’ inability to advance from the Championship—despite Roberts’ late appearance at Wembley—means that they will not be able to negotiate lucrative contracts for some of the players who played on loan the previous year.

Joe Rodon, who made 50 appearances across all competitions and is supposedly very set to leave Tottenham this summer, is the Whites’ top transfer target in this regard.

Roberts’ original club Burnley’s relegation makes it unlikely that the Peacocks will sign him permanently this summer, even though Byram activated an extension in the one-year contract he signed last summer.

Burnley would be smart to welcome Roberts back into the fold in their attempt to make a quick return to the top after the Clarets won the league with over 100 points in 2023, earning him a spot in the PFA Championship team of the year.

The Whites might not need to search for options at right-back next season because to Byram’s deal, Leeds’ wish to maintain Archie Grey, and Rasmus Kristensen’s rumoured return to Elland Road from Roma [Corriere dello Sport].

Apart from Leeds United-related news, the San Francisco 49ers have been plagued by constant turmoil since they struck a deal with the devil.
