Due to his contract expiring next summer, Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina is being targeted by AS Roma and AC Milan during the January transfer window.
The full back is viewed by both teams as a potential market opportunity, according to AS Roma Live.
They clarify that Roma is especially interested in players whose contracts expire on June 30, 2025, or who are marginalised by the teams they play for.
The “electric winger” is among the first names on the team’s list of targets for January or the upcoming summer, and Aina is one of the latter.
Due to his ability to play on both flanks and the fact that his contract is about to expire, he is popular for financial reasons. Milan has taken notice of these qualities as well.
This season, Nottingham Forest has been keeping an eye on him, and the Rossoneri “remain vigilant” on his contract status.
Given that Davide Calabria is expected to depart on a free transfer next summer, they may need to replace him soon. For this reason, AC Milan’s management is “carefully monitoring” Aina’s potential.
Roma is aware of this and may try to outbid the Serie A team in the January transfer window by launching a “winter offensive” for the Nottingham Forest defender.
