Daichi Kamada is scheduled to undergo a medical this week ahead of his move to Crystal Palace on a free transfer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Initially, Kamada appeared set to sign a new contract with Lazio and extend his stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, the Japanese midfielder made a sudden decision to join Crystal Palace this summer instead.
Lazio felt betrayed by Kamada, insisting that he had given every indication of extending his stay before changing his mind in favor of a move to Selhurst Park.
Reports suggest that Kamada’s medical at Crystal Palace is booked for this week.
Negotiations are in advanced stages, and a verbal agreement has been reached between the Japanese midfielder and the south London club.
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner played a crucial role in persuading Kamada to make the move to Selhurst Park.
Kamada previously worked under Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt and is now set to reunite with him in London.
