Deal Confirmed Crystal Palace open talks to sign “outstanding” star for Oliver Glasner

Gabriel Sara, a midfielder for Norwich, is reportedly a target for Crystal Palace, according to Brazilian publication UOL

With 25 goals in 46 Championship appearances this season, the 24-year-old has had a great season with the Canaries.

Roma is allegedly vying with Palace for Sara’s signing. The former Sao Paulo midfielder made his Serie A debut in Brazil when he was just 18 years old. He joins Norwich in 2022.

Sara, who has a deal with the Canaries through 2026, was the only player from Norwich to be selected for the Championship Team of the Season.

Prior to this season, Sara’s teammate Kenny McLean praised her as “the full package,” while David Wagner called her “outstanding” for her remarkable performances during Norwich’s failed promotion campaign.

This season, scouts from many Premier League teams have also travelled to observe Sara in action, as GIVEMESPORT previously disclosed.

In this upcoming transfer window, Sara might be enticed to move to a higher level after failing to secure promotion with Norwich.

The Brazilian midfielder has reportedly already received requests from Roma and Crystal Palace, according to UOL.

The managers of Roma and Palace will be open to making changes to the teams they took over midway through the previous season as they enter their first full seasons in charge of their respective organisations.

Daniele De Rossi, the manager of Roma, succeeded Jose Mourinho in January and is expected to guarantee European football for the next year. Roma is now sixth in Serie A.

Oliver Glasner, who had a great first few months in London, has joined Palace after parting ties with Roy Hodgson.

Palace has only three Premier League losses in 13 games played under the Austrian, and they are quickly nearing a crucial transfer window.

Although Glasner’s arrival has given Crystal Palace hope, they will probably have to deal with a number of quality players leaving in the next transfer window.

There have been rumours that people like Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze, and Michael Olise are leaving Selhurst Park.

Selling three stars is not an option for Palace this summer, and Olise is presently the player most likely to land a big-money transfer first.

Manchester United is one among the teams expressing interest in signing the 22-year-old winger, according to earlier reports from Fabrizio Romano.

Romano claims that the Red Devils have internally approved the Frenchman’s transfer, but they are not yet far along in the contract negotiations.

Last summer, Olise was linked to Chelsea after the Blues activated his £35 million release clause; however, the deal ultimately fell through.
