Stamenić, a midfielder, brings valuable experience from his time in Denmark and Serbia, having played for Copenhagen and Red Star. During his tenure at Copenhagen, he made 23 senior appearances and played a crucial role in their Danish Cup triumph in his last season with the club.

Last season, Stamenić played 35 matches for Red Star, including four in the UEFA Champions League. His efforts were instrumental in Red Star winning both the Serbian SuperLiga and Serbian Cup.

On the international stage, Stamenić has been capped 15 times for New Zealand.
