Darlington have secured the signing of 24-year-old attacking midfielder Ali Alshabeeb.
Ali began his career at Newton Aycliffe in the Northern League back in 2018 before transferring to Consett, where he played under current Darlington assistant manager Terry Mitchell.
During his two seasons with Consett, he played a key role in reaching the 2020 Vase final, where he scored but ended up on the losing side. Afterward, Ali joined Hebburn, the team that won the final, but an injury led him to seek treatment in Saudi Arabia.
Following his recovery, Ali played for Al Sahei and Al Quaisumah, eventually returning to England in June.
He has also represented England Universities.
