Brighton midfielder Andrew Moran has agreed to a new contract with the club and will join Stoke City on loan, according to Football Insider.
The 20-year-old Moran is highly valued by Brighton, which secured him with a new deal before allowing him to move to Stoke. Despite interest from several Championship teams, including Bristol City, Stoke have successfully secured a loan arrangement for the attacking midfielder.
Moran brings a wealth of Championship experience from his time on loan at Blackburn Rovers last season, where he made 41 appearances and scored four goals.
The Irish midfielder joined Brighton from Bray Wanderers in 2021 and has since made three first-team appearances. He was notably successful in Brighton’s youth teams, netting 31 goals in 79 appearances from midfield.
Stoke City is looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming Championship season, and Moran may not be the only new addition, with the club also in competition with Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday to sign Norwegian talent Daniel Braut.
