The most recent Rangers summer transfer news as they get ready for a hectic few weeks.
As they want to keep making signings during the summer transfer window, Rangers’ plans are beginning to take shape.
In the upcoming weeks, Ibrox recruitment chief Nils Koppen and manager Philippe Clement hope to bolster their team with more seasoned players. At the very least, they want a new right-sided defender, winger, and striker.
As the Belgian squad overhaul continues, the Light Blues may also try to reinforce other areas. Finding those recruits would assist to bolster players currently in the building, as Jefte, Clinton Nsiala, Liam Kelly, Connor Barron, and Oscar Cortes have all signed contracts to date.
Transfer interest is expected for current No. 1 and “Player of the Year” Jack Butland, as well as for captain James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, and Ianis Hagi. Departures are still likely.
Though only one or two of the stars will actually be sold, it has been widely speculated that the Gers would also be open to hearing bids for players like Tom Lawrence, Scott Wright, and Sam Lammers.

1. Yusuf Kabadayi
Bayern Munich winger was believed to be close to joining the Gers a few weeks ago but that seems to have stalled. Besiktas have now entered the race for his signature, with a concrete offer supposedly accepted.
2. Ianis Hagi
Expected to come in from the cold after his underwhelming La Liga loan spell. Has been praised for his attitude in Spain by Alaves boss Luis Garcia, despite failing to turn out for the club since the beginning of March. His future looks to be in the hands of his agents.
3. Hamza Igamane
The Gers are on the brink of announcing the Moroccan forward’s signing. He will become Clement’s sixth summer recruit with the under-23 international now granted a visa to move to Scotland. He will joined for a fee in the region of €2million plus bonuses.
4. Sam Lammers
The Dutch forward could be set to return to his homeland permanently with AZ Alkmaar reportedly willing to match the Gers’ £2.5m asking price following his productive loan spell with FC Utrecht.
5. Albion Rrahmani
Kosovo international might only be 23 but he is a striker who certainly knows where the goal is after contributing 19 and five assists for Rapid Bucharest last season. Remains one of Clement’s top targets.

6. Connor Goldson
Had one option already in place to leave Ibrox, but may now have another to explore with a return to England with Birmingham City potentially on the cards. Ex-Celtic coach Chris Davies is targeting promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking and wants Goldson to help tighten up his defensive line.
7. Ben Johnson
Contact was made with the former West Ham defender, but he has opted to sign for Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town on a reported £60k per week. The Gers were simply priced out of this one…
8. Cyriel Dessers
Rangers are potentially open to selling the 22-goal frontman if they can secure a considerable fee of around £5m for him, which they would then look to reinvest into another new signing. Greek Superleague outfit PAOK are reportedly in ‘advanced talks’.
9. Reuell Walters
Right-back is currently not a priority position for Clement to fill but the youngster has now been released by Arsenal and with Tavernier linked with a move to Saudi, he could be an option the club choose to explore.
10. Scott Wright
Former Aberdeen winger could be set for a six-figure exit to the English Championship with Sheffield Wednesday making their move. Owls boss Danny Rohl is said to be very interested in Wright, who has been told that he is free to leave the club.
11. Kenny McLean
Scotland international could fulfil his dream of playing for Rangers after transfer links with the midfielder resurfaced last week. The 32-year-old played with Todd Cantwell and Kieran Dowell at Carrow Road so would have no issues settling into Clement’s new-look squad.

14. Abdallah Sima
The Gers pursuit of Sima’s signature was given a welcome boost at the weekend, with Brighton’s price tag of around £8m set to decrease as the winger enters the final 12 months of his contract at the Amex Stadium.
15. Lawrence Shankland
A big transfer has yet to materialise for the Scotland and Hearts striker, who has been linked with a move to Ibrox over the past couple of transfer windows. Scored 33 goals last term and has improved certain aspects of his game, so he should be hot property.
16. Robby McCrorie
Another player who could be on the way out of Ibrox this summer with Liam Kelly joining to re-shape the goalkeeping department. Was persuaded to stay at Rangers last year but it now seems more likely he will venture out in search of regular first-team football.

A free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest, both Celtic and Rangers have been linked with the powerful centre-back. Loan club FC Copenhagen are weighing up whether to launch a transfer swoop after spending the second half of last season in Denmark.
18. Thomas Galdames
One of the first players linked with the Gers back in May, the Chilean international is keen on a move to Europe after impressing in South America with Godoy Cruz. No progress has been made on a potential switch to Rangers.
19. James Tavernier
Remains of interest to Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia. The 32-year-old right-back is entering his testimonial year in Govan but the lure of life-changing money in the Middle East could sway his decision.
20. Couhaib Driouech
Similar to Igamane, he is a Morocco youth international who has a year left to run on his current deal with Dutch side Excelsior Rotterdam, ho were relegated from the top-flight last season. PSV Eindhoven are currently front-runners to sign him, but the Gers have been floated as a possible destination.

22. Ridvan Yilmaz
Never too far away from being linked with a move away from Ibrox, the Turkish left-back was previously attracting interest from Galatasaray, which culminated in transfer bids late in the January window. Now, former club Bestikas want to bring him back to his homeland.
