Everton ready to make £13m offer for Benfica star Florentino Luís
Florentino Luís, a standout for Benfica, is apparently a target for Everton to sign during the summer transfer window.
The Toffees made a proposal of £25 million in January in an attempt to acquire the 24-year-old, but their offer was rejected.
According to Maisfutebol, the Premier League team is ready to rekindle its interest in the defensive midfielder and are ready to offer £13 million this summer.
According to reports, the Portuguese’s current deal with the Eagles includes a £102 million release clause.
Due to their financial difficulties, Everton will likely try to reach an agreement for a far smaller sum than the release clause.
The Merseyside giants want to improve next season under boss Sean Dyche, and they appear to require midfield additions.
Moving out of Goodison Park has been suggested for Amadou Onana, while Idrissa Gana Gueye, who turned 34 this year, is unreliable because of his physical problems.
Given his talent, youth, and Portuguese accomplishments, Florentino Luís would be a great addition for them.
The 24-year-old’s ability to analyse plays, read the game, and apply strong tackle is highly regarded.
This season, he has averaged 2.6 tackles, 1.6 interceptions, and 4.1 ball recoveries while playing in 30 Primeira Liga games for Benfica, which helped them finish second.
