EXCLUSIVE: Rangers in race to sign ‘fantastic’ 14-goal attacker nearly as fast as Mbappe

Rangers are apparently targeting Adama Traore, the forward for Ferencvaros rather than Fulham, along with Sturm Graz and, ironically, those same Cottagers.

The 54-time Mali international may depart Ferencvaros after two years and two Hungarian league championships, according to Africa Foot. Traore is scheduled to become a free agent in 2025. He began his career at the French team Metz but truly found his footing at Sherif Tiraspol. Therefore, Ferencvaros must sell this summer or run the risk of losing him for nothing in the future.

At 28, Traore is older than the guys that Rangers have typically targeted in the past, namely Nils Koppen and Philippe Clement.

But Traore is more of a completed product than Oscar Cortes and Mohamed Diomande, who entered as works in progress. His versatility, title-winning acumen, experience, and stellar record in Europe will all be appealing to a Rangers team hoping to improve both domestically and internationally in 2024–2025.

In 26 games this season, Traore has 14 goals for Ferencvaros. Moreover, he has eight goals and three assists in 16 qualifying matches, despite never having participated in the actual Champions League.

It is also claimed that the jet-heeled Traore can reach a top speed of 34.14 km/h. Kylian Mbappe, on the other hand, was measured at 35 km/h last year.

Traore is quick and accurate in the last three minutes.

“We have a very powerful weapon in Adama Traore’s return. Following the forward’s recent comeback from injury, Ferencvaros coach and legendary former Inter Milan player Dejan Stankovic said to Magyar Nemzet, “He has a professional mentality.”

He is an excellent player. Naturally, we place a great deal of importance on Traore.

If he does leave in the summer, then there won’t be anyone to replace him.

Rangers have also been plagued by a right-wing spot for a while.Although Ross McCausland shows promise, he is still young.Despite his impressive performance against Dundee on Tuesday, Scott Wright may be too erratic to be counted on by a side that truly wants to win the championship.

Wright’s contract expires in 2025, just like Traore’s. He is the one who is most likely to give way if the frontman for Ferencvaros shows up at Ibrox.
