Circuit of the Americas F1 boss, Bobby Epstein, has extended an invitation to Daniel Ricciardo to stay involved during the United States Grand Prix weekend, despite losing his seat to Liam Lawson after the Singapore race. Lawson will now partner with Yuki Tsunoda for the season’s remaining six races.
Ricciardo, a fan favorite in both Austin and across the U.S. due to his popularity and the success of *Drive to Survive*, hasn’t confirmed any plans to attend the Texas event from October 18-20. However, Epstein believes Ricciardo can still play a significant role in engaging fans even without being on the track.
“Daniel may have just as big of an impact off the track as he does on it during our Grand Prix,” Epstein told *ESPN*. He added that fans aren’t necessarily coming just to see Ricciardo race, especially if he’s not in a competitive car. “He can still be part of the F1 community in a meaningful way.”
Epstein highlighted how much Texas fans adore Ricciardo, noting that the Australian driver also enjoys his time in the state. “I hope he makes himself more available to fans since he won’t have racing obligations. People would love to meet him, get an autograph, or a photo. We’ll keep him busy.”
