Sunderland could be about to do a double deal for midfielders Salis Abdul Samed and Milan Aleksić.
L’Equipe and Mozzart Sport, who both report on Sunderland’s attempts to get two today, claim as much. At this point, Aleksić’s agreement appears to be closer to completion, as Mozzart has revealed that he has been to Sunderland for medical exams.
They claim that Sunderland and Radnicki 1923 have reached an agreement to trade the 18-year-old midfielder for €3.7 million. A portion of any future sales of the child will also go to the Serbian side. He has already been to England for a physical, and if all goes according to plan, he will sign a four-year contract with the Black Cats. For Radnicki, the move is significant since it guarantees them a healthy sum of money as well as a portion of any future sales should he continue to grow and excel. In fact, Sunderland will be the most expensive product in the Mozzart Bet Superliga this summer given the amount they are collecting from them.
Benfica and other teams had already made multiple bids to Radnicki, but Sunderland was the team who ultimately made the move to get him. Although Sunderland is not as interested in Lens midfielder Salis Abdul Samedi, they are still in negotiations to sign him. According to L’Equipe, the Black Cats are interested in signing Lens on a “dry loan,” meaning that the midfield player might end up on loan with the Championship team. Although a complete agreement has not yet been reached, talks between the two clubs are moving along favorably, and there is a sense that he will be leaving the country. This summer, Brest and Nantes had also made him their target, but Sunderland is moving forward to close a deal.
