Wolves are braced for a deluge of summer transfer window offers for star defender Max Kilman, sources have told Football Insider.
The Midlands outfit are aware of plenty of Champions League-calibre club interest in the 26-year-old ace.
Wolves braced for summer interest in Molineux star
FFP regulations are a concern at Molineux, with Wolves potentially needing to sell star players this summer in order to do business of their own.
Another player who could exit is Pedro Neto, with sources telling Football Insider last month that Liverpool and Tottenham are among the top sides keen on the winger.
O’Neil is keen to hold onto such stars, with Kilman heavily relied upon, with the defender one of the few players to have played every minute available in the current league campaign [official Premier League website].
The 26-year-old has helped the Molineux outfit fight for a mid-table place this season, and is now approaching his 150th appearance for the club.
After a difficult period, the Midlands side have fought back to 11th place under O’Neil, with 42 points from their 31 matches so far.
But with seven matches still to go, a top 10 finish cannot be ruled out, with the club just one point behind Brighton in tenth and two behind Chelsea in ninth.
A reset may, however, be needed at Molineux given the FFP worries, with the selling of star players certain to bring the club back to square one.
