Wolves could sign “prolific” 22-goal star who’d be a dream next to Cunha

Wolves are reportedly considering a move for striker Mohamed Amoura after the season.
They face competition from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, but if Spurs qualify for the Champions League next season, they will most certainly be the frontrunners for his services.
O’Neil may need to sell some players during the transfer window to complete the transaction, given Amoura has a contract with Union Saint-Gilloise until 2027.
Adding someone of his calibre to the manager’s attacking lineup would undoubtedly benefit the club, while also serving as a dream signing for Cunha, who might work well with the Algerian.
Why would Mohamed Amoura benefit Cunha?
Cunha is the club’s leading scorer this season, with 13 goals across all competitions. The former Atlético Madrid forward has been deployed as a number 10 to devastating success this season, and he might complement Amoura.
Cunha’s selflessness is seen in his three assists, seven big chances, and average of one vital pass and two dribbles per game.
Amoura has been a standout for USG in 2023/24, scoring 22 goals in 40 matches and contributing six assists.
Talent scout Jacek Kulig praised the Algerian international’s “incredibly prolific” performance right before Christmas.
Among his teammates in the Belgian top division, the 23-year-old presently ranks second for goals and assists (19), first for shots on target per game (1.4), second for big chances created (six), and fourth for successful dribbles per match (1.2), demonstrating similar skills to Cunha.
This might allow O’Neil to develop a deadly tandem, helping Wolves finish in the top half of the Premier League next season.
While the player’s current price is unknown, it appears that the Old Gold will have to pay a substantial cost, but based on his statistics this season, Amoura may be well worth it.
