EXCLUSSIVE:Leeds United message to League Two…

Ahead of the new season, Leeds United sent a message of support to a League Two team. With just three weeks until the 2024–25 Championship season begins, Daniel Farke’s Whites will play their first weekend match against newly promoted Portsmouth on Saturday, August 10, at 12.30 p.m. Following their promotion from League One last season, Portsmouth is back in the Championship. United’s neighbors and Friday night rivals, Harrogate Town, are also vying for a spot in this league by the end of the current campaign. In the first open preseason match of the summer, League Two team Harrogate hosted Leeds on Friday night. Junior Firpo, Georginio Rutter, and rookie Sam Chambers scored goals to give the Whites a 3-0 victory

Leeds then thanked Friday night’s hosts Harrogate and sent their best wishes for the next season before getting ready to board a plane for the team’s preseason training camp in Germany. “Thank you to our hosts this evening,” was written beside a photo of managers Simon Weaver and Farke shaking hands that was posted on the team’s official X account. Best wishes for the forthcoming Harrogate Town season.

With a message on their account that wished Leeds United Football Club well for the next season, Harrogate also showed their support for the Whites.

Town, who will be playing in League Two for the seventh time in their history, finished 13th last season, just seven points out of the play-offs.
