Fabrizio Romano shares how much Nottingham Forest will pay for winger now set for medical

It’s been the long-running saga of this summer but Nottingham Forest are nearing the signing of Paraguay youngster Ramon Sosa.

Forest have been chasing the winger for several weeks and Talleres have now agreed to let their winger depart.

Sosa starred at the Copa America and clearly he’s caught the eye of the recruitment team at Forest over the last 12 months.

At 24, Sosa fits the profile of a Forest signing nicely with a clear shift in strategy this season at the City Ground.

Now, some details have come to light on the deal involving Sosa to Forest and it feels like an attractive deal for the Reds.

It does feel as though Forest have dealt with the transfer market impeccably well this season and it looks like an exciting window at the moment.

The players that have been added are all of a similar age and crucially none of them have broken the bank at this stage.

Forest will still be in the market for more players before the window closes with a striker and a left-back high on Nuno Espirito Santo’s list of targets.

With Sosa, however, he will definitely be the next player to arrive at the football club and he’s now likely to have landed in England.

A medical is booked in for him today and Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Forest have paid just £10 million for his signature.

The Reds will also include another £4m in the way of add-ons and the player should finally end his long wait to sign for the club today.

Sosa finally signing means Forest can move onto next target

Out wide, Forest now look very well stocked and hopefully, the Reds can now move on to complete the rest of their squad.

Sosa looks like an eye-catching signing with his seven goals and six assists during the 2023/24 campaign and it will be fascinating to see what he can do.

However, Forest have other gaps to address now and hopefully, things can ramp up to land a new left-back and a new striker this summer.

Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi are both very capable but a stellar signing upfront would truly excite the fan base.

Both Santiago Gimenez and Vitor Roque have been linked with a move to Forest and it will be fascinating to see who the team club ends up signing.

Finally, the Sosa deal can be laid to rest and now it will be intriguing to see which players come to Forest before the window closes.
