“Fantastic” target now Crystal Palace to decide on £81k-a-week contract…

The objective is always to open the transfer window as soon as possible, and Crystal Palace appears to have done just that this summer.

Oliver Glasner has big plans for season two at Crystal Palace, and Dougie Freedman will have his hands full trying to assemble a team that can play the kind of football that has been demonstrated recently over the course of 38 games.

Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that defender Chadi Riad is scheduled to have his physical this week, with Monday being the day stated. The Eagles are hoping to make an announcement on Riad this week.

However, Palace has a number of additional targets in the works and maybe even more if some of the great players are sold, so this is far from the end.

According to recent reports, Palace is reportedly applying pressure to one target while he considers the Eagles’ offer.

Daichi Kamada of SS Lazio looks on during the Serie A football match between FC Internazionale and SS Lazio. The match ended 1-1 tie.

Now, Daichi Kamada is under pressure from Crystal Palace.

Palace isn’t willing to wait around indefinitely, so they’re trying to move things along swiftly. It’s now being said that pressure is being put on one target.

A report from the Italian publication Cittacelesta claims that Palace is pressing Daichi Kamada of Lazio to decide since they are really interested in him.

Lazio is eager to keep the midfield player this summer, but he hasn’t made up his mind and Palace has offered him a deal with a significantly greater salary.

Lazio is reportedly willing to offer up to €3.5 million annually (£2.9 million annually and £57k weekly), which is significantly less than Palace’s €5 million bid (£4.2 million annually and £81k weekly).

Even if Palace is still exerting pressure on the “fantastic” player, it’s likely that a decision will be made before May 31st.

What is the current status of Daichi Kamada’s contract?

The fact that Lazio is giving Kamada less money than he has made in the last year is perhaps what will irritate him the most about the offer.

At the moment, the Japan international makes €3,850,000 a year, or £3.2 million and £63,000 every week. This would make the offer from Palace seem like a genuine rise and explains why he isn’t entirely sure he wants to go to England.

Aside from the obvious Kylian Mbappe, Kamada is maybe the most valuable free agent available this summer. His contract expires on June 30th.

The 27-year-old has a very high market value, so if Palace signs him, they would be getting a great deal, and we think Glasner will be the one to maximise his potential.
