Prior to the summer transfer window, Rangers attacker Abdallah Sima has acknowledged that he is not making the decision to permanently relocate to Ibrox.
The Senegalese striker had a fantastic season while out on loan from Brighton at Ibrox, but it’s unclear if the Light Blues will have the funds available this summer to make the move permanent.
Even though a number of analysts have speculated that Philippe Clement may not be able to make the transfer, the Brighton loanee has recently stated that he would be eager to do so, even if he is aware that it is not up to him.
He stated, as cited by the Rangers Review on May 27, “It’s not up to me.” I often remark that I’m glad to be here and that I feel at home. I’ve always wanted this shirt more than anything.
We’ll see in a few weeks. As I mentioned before, this place feels like home, and I think everyone wants to stay somewhere that feels like home.
“I believe I can be content with my contributions and proud of my season. Naturally, I had a rough time with my injuries, which kept me out of action for a while even though I wanted to accomplish more. However, I never look back; I’m constantly looking forward.
During the summer transfer window, will Abdallah Sima be signed by the Rangers permanently?
Every single Rangers fan would be incredibly eager to see Sima back in a Gers shirt on opening day of the next season, money being no object. That might not be feasible, though.
When the transfer window opens this summer, Clement has already hinted that the Light Blues will undergo a significant makeover. The manager will need financial support to pull off such a large player turnover.
Therefore, it doesn’t seem realistic that the Belgian will be ready to spend millions of pounds to practically do nothing in terms of permanently securing Sima and Oscar Cortes. Despite the fact that both players have shown promise, their signing does not always portend advancement.
Sima is ultimately essentially helpless to reduce Brighton’s asking price this summer. Although it seems like reaching a personal agreement wouldn’t be a problem, there are still a lot of obstacles in the way of this transfer.
