FOOTBALL: Playable in Subrail Park: Jaduram

Paul Jaduram, the chair of the Labasa Town Council Special Administrator, said that although the Subrail Park ground has not been renovated to the level they had planned for, it is still playable for the Digicel Fiji FACT, which begins today. After a six-year break, eight teams will compete in Labasa for the championship.

Jaduram expresses gratitude to everyone for their assistance in setting up the venue, especially the Labasa team.

“Over the last two or three weeks, we have made significant progress in the park. Although the grounds are not in perfect condition, they are still usable for play.” Both the field and the main pavilions surrounding the Subrail Park required a great deal of work.

He expresses gratitude for the favorable weather and says they are eager to host this competition to the best of their skills. The action begins with Nadi versus Nadroga at 12.30 p.m., followed by Rewa versus Navua at 2:30 p.m., Lautoka versus Ba at 4.30 p.m., and Labasa versus Nasinu at 7 p.m. All of the matches have LIVE commentary available on Mirchi FM. Meanwhile, in the President’s Cup at Subrail Park in Labasa, Nadogo upset favorites Bua 2-0. During the halftime break, both sides were tied at zero points, but Nadogo had other intentions. Irfan Hussein initiated the account, and Viliame Koroi ensured Nadogo’s victory.

Seaqaqa defeated Dreketi 2-1 in today’s opening match. Filipe Nayava gave Dreketi a response, but Meleki Ravulo and Zoheb Khan scored for Seaqaqa. Tomorrow at 12:30 pm, the Digicel Fiji FACT will begin with a match between Nadi and Nadroga.
