John Mousinho believes Pompey’s offer of a double contract will be approved.
Mousinho has this belief as they continue to wait to see if the out-of-contract duo would agree to the revised terms that have been presented to them.
Out of the fifteen players whose current contracts expire this summer, only Ogilvie and Pack received offers for new ones.
After winning the title, some well-known names are on their way, as options on deals with Joe Morrell and Zak Swanson were not pursued while players like Joe Rafferty and Sean Raggett were released.
That demonstrates how highly Ogilvie and Pack are regarded, and it’s obvious that they can have an influence at the second tier.
Fans are eager to see if the two can reach new terms, as both guys are part of the 18-man group that is celebrating winning the title in Las Vegas.
With a strong summer of transfer activity predicted, Mousinho has now offered the Fratton faithful a glimpse into how he sees things unfolding.
Additionally, the Pompey manager has a feeling that the two will have successful consequences for their lives.
“It sounds like both players are excited about signing for the football club,” the coach stated, drawing on his conversations with both Connor and him.
There are times when you give contracts to athletes, but they aren’t all that thrilled about it since they have other possibilities. We won’t have that this year with these two, I believe.
