Following Coventry City’s stunning comeback against Manchester United, Gary Lineker gave his opinion in seven words.

The Sky Blues drew 3-3 with Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday afternoon. The draw meant that the match would proceed to extra time at Wembley Stadium.

Manchester United led 3-0 thanks to goals from Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes. Ellis Simms and Callum O’Hare scored for City, while Haji Wright converted a stoppage-time penalty to force extra time.

City thought they had scored the winning goal in the last stages of extra time, but Victor Torp’s strike was called out for offside.

After the game went into extra time, Lineker moved to social media to express his gratitude to City. The former Leicester striker applauded Coventry for coming back from a three-goal deficit and forcing extra time.

Lineker wrote, “Wow!” @Coventry_City has made an incredible comeback.

Despite City believed they had won the game in extra time with Torp’s disallowed goal, the match went to a penalty shootout. Coventry would lose the shootout 4-2 to depart the FA Cup, with Wright and Torp scoring but O’Hare and Ben Sheaf missing their penalty attempts.
