Gary O’Neil could sign Che Adams alternative in Wolves move for ‘magic’ £8m striker

If Wolves are prepared to make a significant upfront investment, they may discover a “magic” replacement for Che Adams this summer.

With the permanent arrival of Rodrigo Gomes from Braga and the signing of Tommy Doyle from Manchester City, Wolves have had a busy start to the transfer season.

Supporters should take heart from the fact that the Old Gold have gotten right to business, as Gary O’Neil is eager to improve upon his 14th-place result from the previous campaign.

O’Neil has to spend in a striker because it was one position that gave him trouble in 2023–2024 if he wants to make headlines in the transfer market going forward.

Che Adams, who has an expiring contract with Southampton this summer and will not make a decision on his future until after Euro 2024, has been linked to the Wanderers.

On a free transfer, Adams would be a good addition, but O’Neil ought to give some thought to a player who scored ten goals in the Premier League the previous year.Elijah Adebayo of Luton Town runs with the ball during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Luton Town at London Stadium on May 11,...

Elijah Adebayo, a striker for Luton Town, is available for £8 million this summer. Adebayo has drawn interest from a number of clubs, including Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbache, Bournemouth, Everton, and Crystal Palace. Luton Town was relegated from the Premier League after their season.
