Sead Haksabanovic is close to a permanent move to Swedish side Malmo according to reports.
The Montenegro international was signed from Russian side Rubin Kazan by Ange Postecoglou in 2022 and was heralded as a great capture.
Sead had a great pedigree having played at a high level and was of course an experienced international player, so big things were expected of the skilful wide man.
His Celtic career started well as he chipped in with a few goals and assists, and his talent was clear to see, but despite this he was still very much seen as an impact player and was a regular on the bench.
Despite not being a regular starter he won a treble in his first full season, but by the start of the following season he had been sent on loan to championship side Stoke City.
Sead didn’t exactly impress at the Potters and headed back to Glasgow as the championship side declined to make his move permanent.
Sead arrived as a promising player, but ultimately flattered to deceive. Sometimes things just don’t work out.
