A huge Whites danger is clear but with Premier League confidence in Daniel Farke’s Whites ahead of Sunday’s Championship play-off final against Southampton.

The Whites and Saints will lock horns at Wembley for a place in next season’s Premier League and Southampton’s Adam Armstrong is rated the most likely first scorer by the bookmakers.

Joe Gelhardt of United is also an 8-1 favourite and is less expensive in the betting than injury-plagued Patrick Bamford, who is 17-2. Willy Gnonto is next at 10 seconds, followed by Dan James at 9 seconds.

Although Armstrong is the clear favourite to score first, Leeds is still the favourite for the actual game, and the Whites have solidified their hold on the top spot in the market.

United’s pricing has steadily dropped over the course of the week, and Daniel Farke’s team is currently no longer as big as 27–20 but as small as 6–5 with certain companies. Now, Southampton has an 11-5 chance to win in 90 minutes, while there is a 12-5 chance for the draw.

In the most important market, Leeds is now no longer even a 7-10 favourite to win the trophy and earn promotion, while the Saints are a 6-5 favourite.
