Hull City take their seat alongside EFL decision-makers with Middlesbrough FC's Neil Bausor and former Leeds United and Barnsley FC chairman Peter Ridsdale

Hull City will play a significant role in major Football League decisions next season.

Vice-chairman Tan Kesler has been appointed as a Championship representative on the Football League board, taking over from Millwall’s former chief executive, Steve Kavanagh, who stepped down last month.

Kesler, who is the right-hand man to chairman Acun Ilicali, manages the day-to-day operations of the Tigers while Ilicali, a Turkish TV executive and vice-chairman of his childhood club Fenerbahce, travels globally for his various commitments.

Neil Bausor, the chief executive of Middlesbrough, and Peter Ridsdale, a director at Preston North End and former chairman of Leeds United and Barnsley, have been re-elected as the other Championship representatives on the board.

For League One, Lincoln City’s Liam Scully and Exeter City’s Julian Tagg have been elected, while Crewe Alexandra chairman Charles Grant continues as the League Two representative.

The board also includes independent non-executive directors Caroline Artis and Justine Roberts, along with chief executive Trevor Birch and chairman Rick Parry.
