Unai Emery has been one of the best things to have happened at Aston Villa for a very long time.

Aston Villa defeated Wolves in a thrilling comeback on Saturday; you just know that the previous teams would have lost that match.

However, the Champions League club has demonstrated their mindset and demonstrated why they are among the top teams in the Premier League for the past two weeks. To be honest, Aston Villa’s performance in the first half of their match against Wolves was so poor that it was obvious that adjustments were required. At the break, Emery accomplished this by having Lucas Digne replaced by Ian Maatsen when the injured John McGinn left the field.

That was a huge help because it provided some much-needed side energy, but the real breakthroughs came from the subsequent adjustments. Even though Ross Barkley didn’t score or provide an assist, he was once again Villa’s unsung hero. Jhon Duran scored from the bench. Emery is the mastermind behind it all, and Peter Schmeichel praised the Spaniard, calling him “wonderful.”

Even better—Schmeichel mentioned this—is that Emery’s squads are “entertaining,” with that high line frightening a lot of people. In any case, the iconic goalie was correct to present the Villa manager with flowers, and based on what he brings to the table, he truly does “love football,” as he stated to Premier League Productions on September 21, 24, at 8:35 p.m.

Aston Villa beat Wolves

The fact that Aston Villa is in the Champions League is enormous for the football team, Schmeichel remarked. They had to exert a great deal of energy because they played the first game in the middle of the week. That was evident in the first part. Then they abruptly displayed their class. I adore that manager so much. Emery is quite amazing. The manner in which he organizes his teams. the manner in which they engage in play. the manner in which he conducts interviews. He is interesting in every way, both in person and in his actions. I adore football because of it.

Aston Villa and Unai Emery in the Champions League

When Villa advanced to the Champions League the previous season, supporters were ecstatic, and now they want to surprise the best. It got off to the ideal start as Villa defeated Young Boys with relative ease in their inaugural Champions League match.

The only thing left to do is prepare for the homecoming of German powerhouse Bayern Munich next month. Emery is obviously made for matches like these, and Villa has everything they need in their toolbox to pull off an upset.
